4.26.08

The date that shall be forever known as the first day I paid $40 to fill my car with gas.

This sucks. At this rate, we will be going nowhere any time soon. I can't see paying a pile of cash to just put gas in the car before I can even get somewhere, let alone then pay money for lodging, meals, entertainment, etc. And flying is no better--they pump up the price just so they can cover their fuel costs.

Good thing I gave my dad his fireworks already. It's going to be a hot, lonely summer if this keeps up.

I filled up my car yesterday and it came close to $40, and I still had a quarter tank left!

I found a receipt from back in March and I paid $3.20 for gas. I was thinking, man that was cheap! Ugh...

I think I'm going to start only filling up half my tank at a time!

As for summer - I'll be here taking a stinking class pretty much the whole month of July....we can have game night, TV show marathons, paint my house...although it takes a lot of gas to get to my house it's closer than some other places!

A requirement of my job is that I am on the road quite a bit. It takes $60 to fill my tank. And you know that when summer comes, the price will be jacked up with all the travelers doing their thing.

God help us all...

$49.98 today. God in heaven, I have NEVER paid that much before. Holy Moses.
